Francesco Gabriele
Francesco is an Italian award-winning producer and director based in London. After a degree in Acting from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles and a three-year Master’s degree in Filmmaking from the London Film School, he specialized as a director of horror and black comedy.
His short film “Italian Miracle” was screened at over fifty international film festivals, including the Oscar and BAFTA Qualifying LA Shorts Fest, and received several awards. The rights were later acquired by international distribution platforms, including Omeleto and Curia TV. The adaptation of the short film into a feature film is currently in development.
His first feature film “Blue Hollywood”, entirely shot in Los Angeles, was selected for some prestigious festivals including the BAFTA Qualifying British Urban Film Festival, where Francesco was nominated for Best Emerging Talent. The rights to the film were acquired by the American distribution company Janson Media and the film was released on streaming and DVD in the United States in 2020.
In the same year, he directed the short horror film “For Sale”. The short was selected for over fifty international festivals including prestigious genre festivals such as Bucheon (South Korea), Fantaspoa (Brazil) and Ramaskrik (Norway) and it is currently distributed by Omeleto and Troma.
He recently directed the horror feature film “Bad Nun 3” produced by Proportion Production and to be distributed by ITN Studios and the erotic thriller “Christmas Party” produced by Left Films and distributed by Fire Flag Films.
He is currently promoting his latest two films on the festival circuit: the horror feature film “Behave”, recently selected at the Dracula Film Festival in Romania and the black-comedy short film “Cul-de-sac”, winner of the best short film award at the 2023 Abruzzo Horror Film Festival (Italy) and Best Horror Short at Performance Short Film Competition (UK).
