Biography


Maureen O’Grady is an experienced actress and singer who has recently returned to London after living in the United States for a number of years.


Maureen has worked in most areas of the industry playing a wide variety of roles from Cleopatra to David Mamet’s Sexual Perversity in Chicago and worked with Directors including Shane Meadows, Ken Loach, Julian Kemp, Nick Laughland, Alrick Riley, David Poutney, Ralph Koltal and Howard Barker.


In addition to her Film and varied T.V. work with BBC1, BBC2 and CH4, Maureen has worked extensively on stage including many national tours. Her love of the stage has led her to co-found three small theatre companies in Nottingham, London and Portland U.S. where the desire to produce visceral theatre and a quest to find innovative ways to engage new audiences led to seasons of Samuel Beckett, Sam Shepard, Ionesco and Martin McDonagh.


Maureen also finds time to write having just finished two screenplays and also works as a Voiceover Artist
